FRIDAY, AUGUST 6 @ 8:00 PM Paramount Movie Classics To Have And Have Not [Running time: 100 minutes] Box Office opens @ 6:00pm | Doors open @ 7:00pm | Curtain rises @ 8:00pm All Tickets: $5.00
To Have And Have Not (1944) - Directed by Howard Hawks, this was the first film featuring the on-screen pairing of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall and marked Bacall's screen debut. William Faulkner loosely adapted Ernest Hemingway's novel for this thrilling tale of a down-on-his-luck American ship captain in Martinique who reluctantly smuggles French resistance fighters through a net of Vichy police and Gestapo agents. The remarkable chemistry between Bogart and Bacall is breathtaking and their romantic banter throughout the film remains the stuff of Hollywood legend.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 20 @ 8:00 PM Paramount Movie Classics The Man Who Knew Too Much Running time: 120 minutes] Box Office opens @ 6:00pm | Doors open @ 7:00pm | Curtain rises @ 8:00pm All Tickets: $5.00
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) - An American doctor (James Stewart) traveling in Morocco with his wife (Doris Day) and son (Christopher Olsen) becomes unwittingly embroiled in an assassination plot, and must rescue his kidnapped son while preventing the assassination from taking place. Alfred Hitchcock directs one of his most suspenseful films - climaxing in the famed 12-minute sequence at London's Royal Albert Hall, where composer Bernard Herrmann conducts the London Symphony Orchestra as a sniper take aim at his target. Doris Day's song "Que Sera, Sera" is not only an integral part of the plot, but won the Oscar for Best Original Song. [more...]

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 @ 8:00 PM?FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 @ 8:00 PM SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 @ 2:00 PM SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 @ 8:00 PM Je’Caryous Johnson’s CHEAPER TO KEEP HER Doors open 60 minutes before show times. Ticket range: $34.50 - $52.50
CHEAPER TO KEEP HER - Raymond Mays wants a divorce and Morgan Mays wants alimony. When the fed-up Judge bangs her gavel, she decides Morgan doesn't deserve half... she deserves it all. Morgan gets everything—the house, Raymond’s retirement, and some would say even his self-esteem, leaving him with nothing but the thought; it would have been cheaper to keep her. Raymond has two options to prevent him from paying alimony: kill Morgan or get her married off to someone else. As ex-husband and ex-love face off with each other, broken hearts will get revenge; hearts and marital matrimony will collide!

SF JAZZ FALL FEST - Taj Mahal, Toumani Diabate and Vieux Farka Toure: the blues meets Africa in this incredible collaboration, showing their common lineage. All three of the musicians on this amazing triple-bill have worked with Ali Farka Touré (father of Vieux Farka Toure) and the show is dedicated to his everlasting spirit.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26 @ 8:00 PM Sufjan Stevens Doors open 60 minutes before show time. Tickets: $35.00
SUFJAN STEVENS - He is considered to be one of the foremost artists in the folk revival and is perhaps the most widely recognised indie-folk artist around. This renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist has embarked upon the monumental task of composing an album for each one of the fifty states (Illinois and Michigan have been released). His latest project, The BQE, a symphonic and cinematic exploration of New York City's infamous Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, has received ecstatic critical and fan acclaim. Riding the Rails
100 minute film documentary
By the early 1950's a new generation of California's youth had begun to embrace the sport of surfing and its back-to-the-ladn lifestyle. Many of them would chose to abandon he big-city "rat race" and migrate to the quiet beach town of Santa Cruz, joining together with a handful of locals to partake in what is now regarded as the Golden Age of Surfing, before Hollywood and its creations revealed the secret and brought the trampling masses to the coast and an end to a remarkable era in California's history. Produced by Bay Area filmmaker Chris Thompson, this documentary features archival footage and interviews with the key figures of the era, several of whom will be making a personal appearance to answer questions from the audience after the film.
